- Imperial Sextet - Tu Vanidad July 2009 Vibes vibes and more vibes from this fine Sextet on the Lozano label... A little crazy one, This time more of a fun mix I did in an hour or so 1 afternoon. I presume you can feel this mix, if you have eaten some of the finest dutch brownies. Not necesesarily aimed for the dance floor at all. Just play and you will see what I mean. Have a laugh. I still do, when I hear it...! Hope you dig this extremely rare track, never released on cd from Bobby Montez. I re-edited this version for the dance floor. I do have a cleaner version on its way soon to be released on ' QUE VIVA LA SALSA DURA VOL 2'. Look out for that compilation!!! Join my mailing list to keep updated. - Septeto Karibe - Olvidate De Mi There a tons of versions this great and catchy tune ' Olvidate De Mi ' . This being one of my favourites versions from the Venezuelan Septeto recorded on ' Verde ' label back in the 70's. I had to bring back that fiery montuno that just couldn't get out of my head. Amongst that I re-edited the track made it twice the length than it was. I use a slight effect in the middle where you the do-wop coro. Enjoy ! - Orquesta Deejay - Yemaya Obatala Love this band Orquesta Deejay firstly. With this track being so special as it is anyway I was really scared to touch it when considering the idea to remix it. I personally was just wanting to make an ending to the track, however yes I got carried away and well played with a few more things. Please understand I love the original version aswell.. however as a dj I felt we needed a more club play version. So you can possibly consider this remix for that purpose. Sorry Mr Jerry H.. I know you wanna kill me.. jejejeje. It was request by alot of people when they have heard it to get a copy so here it is for your listening pleasure. Please keep an eye out to buy music onli ne from the New Orquesta Deejay. - Jovenes Del Hierro - Ritmo Sabroso August 2008 Ok here is a track that almost you all should be familiar of. It was recorded on the first lp from Jovenes Del Hierro back in the late 60s. It is a classic charanga, however some might say it has a pachanga feel. It has the 3 elements that make a charanga which are the flute, violin & piano. I think the percussion in this case is where it might be considered to have a pachanga feel perhaps. I did this mix using a ROLAND HAND SONIC that a friend of mine Mr Alexistyle left at my place. I decided to see what it does by playing around with the sound banks. The rest is history... I recorded some vibes and also added a back beat to somewhat amp up the older 60's version. Enjoy Bobby Matos - Nadie Baila Como Yo I love how this song sound in its original format, don't get me wrong its a killer as it is, with the sweet son montuno/cha change in the middle of the track after the mambo. However I was requested to do a remix of this track years ago as they wanted to dance to the mambo part only. So here's my ' Just Mambo ' version of this slammin tune. Enjoy http://www.bobbymatosmusic.com/
Heres an extended remix i put together of one of my all time favourite soneros tunes Menique Barcasnegras. I played around with the loops in the middle part of this track sampling over the cumbele cumbele part. Menique is popular for having a unique tone and especially for using all these little scats as he sings making him standout and easy to pick out his voice. So I wanted to emphasize this. I also extended the really nice hook with those flaming saxs roaring to a nice moña. Starting this mix with that popular percussion break I play a simple montuno on my keyboard. I also decided to add 808 style beats over the top, while finishing off with playing my mambo bell on my timbales setup.

Charlies Fox - Blue mambo remix This classic jazzy bluezy tune I just love. I wanted to extend it and higlight the parts I enjoyed the most. If you listen carefully you just maybe can pick up where I've looped it. Tito Puente - Hong kong mambo Remix Another classic jam of all time. I simply just did this remix on the plane on my way to India as a past time. I know this track gets played alot and has been played alot and wanted to once again highlight the elements of the music that hits me most. This is a megamix that contains some smokin favourites of mine. The style of mix was created for radio. The tracklisting is as follows. Dj Duste Salsa Vintage Megamix Part 1 Corporacion Latina - Vamanons Pa'l Oriente
Tego Calderon - Plante bandera remix
Orquesta Broadway - Trompeta y flauta remix
